Finding You
When the world seemed to offer so little,
When my spirit, knocked hard, was so brittle,
When I succumbed to overwhelming heartache,
When my resolve was finally about to break,
Finding you made everything suddenly so clear.
Dreams I had relinquished were to reappear.
I discovered a love I felt could never materialise
With so much new to me, to cherish and prize !

Finding you put in perspective all gone before,
To show me what really exists for ever more.
I shall never again be the same as I have been,
In finding you I now know what living can mean.
I have come to understand what is truly possible,
With all I perceived as fantasy becoming tangible.
Always to appreciate the blessing of finding you,
For that was when a future I craved came into view.
