Firefly

I have a fever, love; and flame increases; and such silent rain,
And sylvan thoughts. I remember such beauty, and such pain;
And there you stood—a wave and wand and wiles and wealth;
And time lapsed; and passion grew; and such was love; and
Such was tears. We sailed and flit; and flit and sailed; and fled
And flew; and flew and fled; and numen love—the soul of
Smiles; and fleece and mask—disappeared. Such was grace—
The face of stars; and endless zeal—the feel of flame; and
Ferric volts—a nightly bed; and daily love—a thetic dance.
Indeed a zest, an ontic song; and heart to oath—the jute of love;
And there we stood—a wave of woe; and there we fell—
Dying slow; and nautic dreams—fled the sea; and hope and
Warmth—a dying tree; and thus the light—a flicker dim;
And thus the love—a valley grim.Â
