There was the day I had your brother, or the day I became your father's wife. But the day that I have birth to you, was the first best day of my life.
My precious baby girl, your hand I held in mine. The best me, I never knew I could be, took place that day, at that time.
The biggest piece of my heart, now belongs to this being so small. My life, my love, and everything else, happy to give you it all.
Know selfish needs, or focus on me, for now there is another. My darling daughter, life will get harder, but I promise you'll have a good mother.

Beautiful deejanay! There is something so very special when you look into your little girl's eyes for the first time. I struggled at first just a little to read it properly because of the layout but I think that maybe just sometimes how it translates when posting from the original source you wrote the poem.
Having said that I read it through 3 times and the more I read it the better it got. Some wonderful lines, that I can most defintely relate to. Such real heartfelt emotion that you put over deejanay, I could tell that you meant every word. A lovely poem, and 5*s and a nomination from me:)
