Visitors travel

As day starts to break

Family tradition

Siblings to see

Time once again

To put up the tree

Lights from the loft

Tested and tried

Angel unboxed

To place on the spire

Tinsel untangled

Baubles unwrapped

Drawing pins found

Decorations intact

Children excited

Decembers now here

Writing wish lists

As they do every year

Decorations now up

Tree all aglow

Everyone sings

Around the piano

Night starts to fall

Now Christmas is nigh

The house all lit up
