Poem -

fixate

fixate

There is no respite. He’s everywhere. In everything. He consumes me in his absence. He completely owns me. A look, a word, a movement and I’m aware of nothing else. He knows this and when he’s away from me he can use words to floor me. When he’s with me…
It’s hard to describe an exquisite pain that comes from being soaked in a love like his. To detail it as an unparalleled overwhelming of the senses is to underplay it. To describe it as a total abandonment of them would do disservice to the beautiful, constant, unavoidable awareness of him.
Being with him is hedonistic to say the least. I could fill pages with the beauty of him. He is painfully easy to love and I plan to take the easy road as long as he’s on it.
