Flag

Red, White, Blue
13 stripes, 50 stars
Blue the color of the ocean
The ocean Britain sailed to contain us
To contain the people who destroyed them
Red the color of blood
Rivers run red and trees grow red attachments
Many wars fought, lost and won
Countless lives lost for the cause
Black, white that color doesn’t matter
They fought as one, died for each other
Burying our soldiers we cry
As we cry the bloody rivers overflow
As we cry the red leafs fall like our tears
Into the dead hollow grass they disappear
All that’s left is the headstone
Some marked with names and dates
Many others go untouched or marked by a simple stone
Never will this end
Since our kind can never be peaceful
This world will never know the end of
The River Running Red or the Trees Growing Dead
