Flames of Desires: Whispers Beyond Reach

Flames of Desires: Whispers Beyond Reach

I see it there, a distant flame, A silent echo, calling name. I reach—but all I grasp is air, It lingers close, yet isn't there.
I speak, it fades. I pause, it stirs, A dance of doubt, a clash of whirs. I do not know what step to take, Each move I make, a new mistake.

I long, I ache, I dream in vain, To touch the joy, outpast the pain. But something deep—I cannot pass, Like sunlight trapped behind the glass.

So here I wait, and wonder still, How something close can break the will. How hearts can burn for what's not true, And not know what they're meant to do.

Yet burning still, this fire inside— A flame that dreams, that cannot hide. It yearns for more, yet pays the cost... A longing found, a purpose lost.

Should I now snuff this flame, resign? Or hide it deep in heart and mind— Let it drift, unseen, unspoken bliss... And bury it in the soul’s abyss?
