Flesh and Blood

No matter how many days go by
No matter how many stars fall from the sky
Or unlimited sunsets shine just to die
Or how many tears I cry

When thinking of you
A lifetime is not enough time
My eyes will never be dry

The part of my heart
That belonged to you
Went with you in that grave
We were flesh and blood
And that means everything

You never left my side
Now you live in my mind
But the sound of your voice
Has faded with time
So I say your name out loud
Every once in a while
And imagine you answering
Always with a smile

Someday my memories will be restored
I will hear your voice once more
The room will light up
With your laughter
Just like before

We were Flesh and Blood

My Dear Terry,

Our Souls are e'er connected
Our "Flesh And Blood" is one
One day we'll be reunited
Our eternity begun

Love,
