flight of fancy

i take flight to my destiny
out of my body into the wild night
fleeing with the air,pure and untouched
no-one can stop me now
old hurt's and pain's,feeling unloved
just a distant bit of dust
not even a memory

up in the wind i caress the sky
embrace the cloud's,my wing's they fly
through space and endless smile's of star's
through the universe to heaven's open door's
arm's of past await me
the love powerful with all i have ever wanted or needed

the waiting has ended
face's loved in life surround me like a light
intense in their glow
happiness has begun
the silence dead, i went to it's wake
love emerge's from the ashes
