Floating Spheres (Magritte's 'Voice of Space')

Floating Spheres (Magritte's 'Voice of Space')

Two
large bells
float silently
in the still
blue sky

Stoical
inscrutable
gravity-defying
grooved silver spheres
quietly reflecting on
the serenely
vacant landscape

The visitors
don't belong
yet they
arrived to
defy our certainty
