Flounder

Cast adrift upon a sea of madness,

Treading water, dark and moody,

Flounder helpless in surging slosh,

To drink deeply of seas blood.

Lost with no beach of saving,

Weather tempest, small and frail,

No hope but each gasping breath,

Sere rememberence to tired faculty.

Struggle, submerged to break surface,

Lust of life ebb and flows,

As every wave crashes down,

Driving deeper, tumultuous torment!

Upon a sea of calm,

Float face upward, weary smile,

Calmly drifting lost, to and fro,

A gift of another day bestowed.
