Flower Games

Flower Games

Withered by the sun
Who dares to send its beams upon me
Like a corpse shattered upon the world
By the unmerciful gaze of it's God
Struck down as I wept bitterly; threw petals at the sky
The sinners hands who cast a ray on the chrysanthemum
That grew to understand it's dark soil
Only to be plucked away too fast, oh, too fast
To be torn apart petal by divine petal
Only to be cast back into the dirt
Broken and mourned I cried aloud to that fateful sky
"And what have I done to such a cruel world, in order to deserve the games flowers are subjected to play?"
The sky did not answer as my soul wept so forth
"And what have I, a corpse been of deserving? To deserve this purgatory on the cruel stoned world?"
The soul may weep but none may hear
For eternity I may watch as others play the games flowers play
The games I played so true
