Poem -

Under rainbows

You make me want to be sweet with you.
We'd make love and you'd never comeĀ

But you would know I loved you.

Ā

You make cows browse the meadows

Under rainbows ravens scoreĀ

Cloud cover till the rain wears you againĀ

Ā

Like a well tailored suit, fit for a funeral.

You'd let me be cruel when I knew

I should have been gentle.

Ā

You're the single flower in a field not tendedĀ

Ā  Ā to

And the belly up side of a love of mine died

Years ago renewed.

Ā

You're somehow special at the same timeĀ

Being the same old you.
