Flown

Flown

Flown

As I sat and watched you go I broke.
My torn and fragile mind struggled to understand why you?
But somewhere in my fractured, angry heart you still burned like you always did.
You were a flame, a fire bird that danced and glowed.
You captured hearts and settled minds, that's what you always did.
So brave, so determined you started fires in the darkest of souls no matter how cold they seemed.
That spark is still burning even if it looks faint and as you went I thought to myself that you've not passed,
You've flown.
