Fluid of Verse
Spilling forth,
Puddleing
As if they were squeezed
From hearty
And eager
Berries
Languishing robustly…
Yet earnestly seeking
To renew and reinvigorate
Senses previously
Scarred by
Inadequacies,
Rooted in soils
Of verbal confusion
And tended…
By the
Rambling profusion
Of pointed satire…
Contained…
At least temporarily,
In vessels of glass
And awaiting
The consumption
Of lyrically laden
Prose…
The fragrant
And richly appointed liquid
Blends succinctly
And convincingly
With the
Carefree trappings
Of sprawling verse…
Reinforcing, again…
The notion that
Wine is indeed…
Liquid poetry.

Rick! Â Love this write! Â Your imagery is wonderful and definitely flows fluidly as you described imbibing "liquid poetry".

Thank you Val.

And the more you drink, the smarter you get! Wine is the drink of the wealthy. Though some wines are sold cheaply the really good ones come with large price tags. Your poem (to me)speaks about love and life. You must choose to live it or it chooses to live you! Good job, Anthony
Thank you Anthony,
Rick
