The Arms of Mary

As the night falls across limitless skies
I wait for thee
Chasing this innocence
Down pathways of mortality
I patiently follow in lock step with beauty
And occasionally
I fall into trance
And in this romance
I wonder with the eyes of a child
New and unseen miracles arrive
And in this place
I am not I nor it
For I am complete
When I meet this Radiant
Presence so great
Venus bestows
Her gifts
And I once more the spell bound boy
Am called to make union
With divine ecstasy
How can I take
Such a longing
Days and nights
Awake and asleep
Still with bare feet
I follow thee
And down this path to freedom
As I watch her naked grace
Hypnotize my body
And mesmerize
My soul
I know
I have fallen
Into the arms of Mary

Just to note my poem is not a limerick
Tried changing it but it seems to want to stay.
I've never been to limerick
Perhaps one day I will make the trip.
But not now in this religious farm of mind.
Farms of mind Good God kindles are strange tools for self expression.
