Foot Prints of the Sea

Foot Prints of the Sea

Sliding up and down the sea shore
Singing, no humming; constantly
Standing still, We listen to the rhythm
Sounds like its from the earth's core

Breezy chats got even heavier still
Bright and early starts with sparks
Bedtime soft talk to the wee hours
Been dreaming of what I would feel

Memories of the sea imprinted on sand
Mostly it left gifts of lovely shells behind
More often it tattooed wavy lines on it
Making it clear it laid its hand on land

For every grain of sea-loved-sand waited
Feverishly counting down to tide's return
Feeling those hands caressing her curves
Finding new ways to make her well sated

The sand is sandy in her sandy way
Thoroughly confused by the sea's fluidity
Tied with that unpredictable lush wit
That weaves its way under the skin
