Footprints

Footprints

You ran away from my life
for no apparent reason,
you took away the joy,
to my poor heart

I looked for kisses from another mouth
I clung to other arms
but still my spirit evokes you
without forgetting what I love you.

No one can make me tremble
like you did yesterday,
I remember your eyes looking at the sea
and I'll never see them again.

This cold gray afternoon
I remember you again
still the anguish of that day
makes my eyes flood.
