Footprints in the Sand

Nature's blank canvas

Footprints in the Sand

Footprints in the sand,
Nature's blank canvas of land,
A witness to dreaming,
To love & forgiving,
The footsteps evoke,
to whom are they owned,
The intention, the reason, the aim.
Where do they lead, where did they end,
Did the bearer achieve their goal,
Lovers walk blindly,
Their hearts glowing blissful,
Oblivious to their shape in the sand
Loners walk swiftly,
To the wind they face briskly
Searching for a safe place to land,
Tide rids all conscience,
In nature's confessional,
The sea is forgiving, cleansing & living.
To make way for more dreams on the sand.
