For those of us
once beautiful ..
Remember this,
we were
only beautiful
for a moment
at the very most ..
And whilst
I know I’m not
as pretty as
I once used to be ..
Let’s drink
a toast to beauty
lost along the way ..

Have you not seen a lot of them...
They are fine and a conversation with them they get more beautiful right before your eyes...
You think they live simple by what's in their cart...
They can't afford a big dinner with their grown children anymore...
Then the tears that feel sharp as a knife across your heart...
