For James Bevan
Dedication

I’m posting a poem dedicated to James Bevan
I’m posting this poem as a dedication to my friend, James Bevan, for his inspiration, his strength, his will power, and the love he has for his three young sons and his family. We’re all praying for you, James!
I hope everyone at Cosmofunnel, will celebrate James Bevan, this week. Or write to him well wishes!
This one,
Is
for you
James Bevan
While laying in the hospital,
wishing for the rain to turn to hail.
Look out the window and see
that strange fluffy cloud.
Imagine you are on a winged
horse, white with black spots.
Soaring through the atmosphere
with wings enough to dance and
soar.
Think about a time in life, when
the magic felt so near.
Remembering the soft warm
summer days, cooking out
taking trips, doing new things
all dads do.
Sports on television, mom
made cold cut sandwiches.
Laughing, giggling, how
they loved to play.
Getting older now,
I surely see, me in them
at every turn of the clock,
we’re running out of time.
The end has drawn much
closer. I wish there was
a secret code, to press
when we decided: Hey
I really don’t want to go?
Not yet!
But if I go, before you wake,
then, let me tell you a little
the tale, about a man who loves
his son’s, he wrote about them
each and every day.
Through his words, we wish
we wonder we imagine, we
become somber, knowing this
is a Poet of his time and yet
time is not there for much
longer.
We’ll dance, we’ll sing, we’ll
laugh, we’ll play, we’ll live,
we’ll write for one more spell,
looking forward this year to
winter.
Thanks, James Bevan,
for inspiring all of the writers at
Cosmofunnel and beyond!

Katrina, this is a beautiful thing to do for a beautiful soul. I will continue praying for him x
Thanks everyone for your thoughts, I don't know James’s personally, just through his writing. But I have such empathy for him because he has written about his journey and battle with cancer for over two decades.Â
I'm helping him get his work together to publish a first book. He has done all the hard work, already!Â
We will be hosting a fund raiser to raise funds for Amazon publishing. All proceeds will go to James Bevan and his family.Â
He's thinking about the cover image and title, while he recouperates in the hospital. I am sure, he is writing up a storm!Â

That's amazing, Katina! James soooo deserves to be cured x
A wonderful dedication to a fighter and a writer! In my prayers.

How many times,
can a fully grown man,
Be reduced to tears of joy and elation,
in the space of one week?
How you ask?
By injecting someone amazing,
like katina,
Into ones life.
Yesterdays' sorrow,
Gone in an instance,
To be exchanged for feelings far greater than happiness,
That will have grown by tomorrow.
Yesterdays' pain,
Still there,
But today,
Katina Woodruff has made my face smile,
Behind the milllion tears,
that would bring shame,
To the harshest of torrential rain.
Rain and sunshine,
Causing a rainbow in the skies.
She's my pack of skittles,
All colourful and bright.
As everyone loves rainbows,
Mine has me smiling in pure delight.
All I have to do is think of this astounding and influential lady,
And it brings a smile to my face,
Any time of day,
Any time of night.
She's added colour,
To a life full,
of dark looming shadows.
She's at the end of my tunnel,
Helping keep hold of my eternal light.
Whether here or not,
She'll have me smiling alright.
I can’t believe the streams of happiness,
She's bought into my life.
Helping me to create,
my dream,
The telling of my story and how ive risen through plight.
Thank you katina,
for giving me extra strength,
For giving me more fight.
