SONNET ZERO

Finally Finished: Draft #11: July 31, 2021: 6:00 AM

SONNET ZERO

He cherished work, and football, God and mind.
She welcomed family life and all the work.
He promised moonbeams, shooting stars and time.
She promised love, the earth, and all the quirks.

He fished bass, and carp each Sunday night.
She danced, sung, and nurtured children, moon.
He cooked fish for friends, drank the fight.
She cooked meat and cooked healthy food.

His sights were kept on teaching Stars and Mars.
Her canvases smile, her loving nature, smart.
His caring heart, his strength, his love of stars.
Her sights were kept on teaching math and art.

Our marriage became joyful loving years.
Our home became a place of love and tears.

**** Author Notes ****

This was my first my first attempt at creating a Shakespearian Sonnet. It took me one year and five months to make a lot of corrections. I finally learned enough to make the needed changes. Now I have to write a lot more to become fluent in writing formal verse: iambic pentameter. It's hard at first, then it becomes easier with more practice.
Thank you for reading and for all of your inspiration and valuable feedback!

One hurdle accomplished.

The next hurdle: Sonnet #3!

See my 2nd Shakespearian Sonnet called:
