For Such is the Nature of Earth
Like 0 Pin it 0Water or woodsÂ
share you your haven
Swim Submerge and riseÂ
to the mystery of AirWhere cotton tree seed pollen
Rides like the fairiesOh I am so grateful for the rocks
Here is one almost completely round
Here is anotherÂ
Speckled salt and pepperThe wind displays the trees like Lace
And the branches of trees make a music
Like stiff vertical drums and the leaves violinsDown the road my little dog
Does not notice the rabbit
Who is motionless
One finger of a great handThat took the void and the darkness
 and made
Layers of life with light and dirt and blades of grassIn the season summer
Even inside the city
Grass grows in concrete
And yes planted flowersAnd if it is all paved over and lost to great great sorrow
I promise it will begin againFor such is the nature of earth
We ride her
Amidst a million stars

Thank you I don’t know what else there is to say. It means so much to me to communicate
these feelings. To have someone understand one of your poems it is as if you are in a foreign country and someone else speaks your language. Thank you
