For the Birds

I have had the most amazing day.
Watching the cardinals play.
A new family moved in today.
I hope they like it and stay.

A family with two fledglings learning to fly!
Learning what to do and what NOT to try.
Soon, they'll be soaring masters of sky
Don't land in the birdbath! Try and stay dry.

The yard fills with the winged unfurl!
They come in all colors, some rusty, some pearl.
The yard buzzes, with wildlife, all caught in a whirl!
A myriad of aves and ONE evil squirrel...
