Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

What do you want of me?
To be your slave,
Your servant;
for all eternity?

Is this my calling?
To never know your truth.
To be in reach
Of a fruit so plentiful,

Yet as i go
To taste of It,
It only eludes me
Hidden in deception.

Doors leading to nowhere.
Doors That delve deeper and deeper
Into my mind.
Pulling me further and further
Away from you.

Tis only your knowledge
I seek.
No treasure of man;
Nor glory
But only you!

For you are
The greatest treasure of all,
Yet you are nowhere
to be found.
