FOREVERMORE

She lay in eternal sleep, he laid a tear-stained rose

kissing gently, her ageless face, his eyes he kept closed

motionless was his angel, silent in her cries

heavy his soul did ache, desperate to glance once more deep within her eyes

his breath became of stone as he wept upon her chest

lost within the love he knew he could not lay to rest

he held her hand so tightly, heaven bound his heart

sacred was the bond they shared, never would they part.
