Forgotten Angel

An angel, one angel, forgotten

Left behind on earth alone, helpless

Surrounded by darkness.

Once held by warm, loving arms, loved

Only to be left behind, lonely and scared

To fight the coldness.

Walking amongst the living in solitude

Waiting to be grasped by a loving soul

To be loved once again.

Then that day came, sent down from heaven

A beautiful bright light, a young angel

Like a beautiful white dove flying with the wind

She appeared before thee.

To reassure, fill the heart with hope

To not be alone but to be rewarded

With the one.

To fill the emptiness with fullness

The darkness with light

Loneliness shall be undone

No longer alone, feeling alive, full of happiness

Something went wrong.

Two nights, two days of pure bliss

Was now suddenly fading away like a dream

Disappearing back up to heavens door.

Frightened, confused, alone in darkness, scared

Once again, only to be pushed aside

Left behind, abandoned

Forgotten once more.
