Fran Died Today

As children
I remember
playing
hide and 
seek
with
you and your
brother
in the orange groves
next to grand pa's house

I recall your
bright red hair
and curls
You looked 
like "Annie".

Over the years
we saw 
each other
a time or
two
at family 
reunions
though as it happens
often with
cousins, 
we did not 
keep in touch...

Reports given
from our relatives
Told me
that life had
brought you
trying times
Yet as a 
Strong Godly
woman
you managed
to raise your
children
giving all you
could

They said 
you died
today
and my
heart 
was filled
with so 
much sorrow
as your life 
was way too young
to go............

Fran though 
for now 
I am saying farewell, 
It is 
my hope
that one
day
we will
meet again
beyond the 
pearly gates
where  orange groves
are plentiful
giving 
a perfect
scenario
for
"Hide and Seek"
Ps.  Maybe Grand Pa will play with us too............................
