Is one day to be free
Free of the demons
That crucify me

Free from worry
Free from the strife
And all the hectic things
That go on in my life

Is that too much to ask

The demons won't let go

Free from the voices

And make my own choices

And begin my life anew

The demons are here to stay

Here to control my life
And everything in it
Enshrouding me with sorrow
Like a big dark blanket

Just one day of freedom

The demons have other ideas
