Free Me

I've come a long way, I have to say

I'm not now who I was back when

No longer as awkward

Still with the grace of a duck

But older and wiser

Less prim and proper

Now relaxed and fun

I know me now

And I like who I am

That's an accomplishment on it's own

Still don't know the rules of the game

But I don't really care

I'm not playing anyway

I'm in a playground of my own

Screw you or screw me- doesn't matter at all

This is but a small dot in a time continuum

And when my body dies

I'll soar high and fast like a bird

Still observing, still learning

Still being me

But a lot more free
