Friendship

Six girls five boys...you would think she knows friendship, but those eleven children are nothing but
savages.
Taught to teach, care, and love one another.
That’s great!
But when they grow old- will it ever be the same?
Mid-thirties, early twenties, sixteen, and nine arguing, cursing, and leaving all of what they learned
behind.
Momma said “love thy siblings” while the bible reads “love thy neighbor.”
Now, they’re old and grown playing games with other’s hearts, picking fights, and arguing on their brand
new cellular device. While sixteen and nine sits back and ask
“Why?”
Why do they do this? Why must they waste their time?
Momma said “Don’t worry about it because when you grow older, you’ll be just fine. You’re smarter, and stronger. Take good care of your sister who is just nine.”
But what about when i go to school? I’ll need a car and a phone, and I’ll want to spend time with my
friend.
...a word with very little meaning. Dad says, “you can’t trust no one,” while mom says, “not as far as you can throw ‘em.”
She’s weak, so weak. She might as well not touch or speak. Education must be the key because Nelson Mandela gave the speech.
“Education is a powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
We were educated together; why not become friends and change the world. But, it’s not that easy-
Friendship comes with time.
Family will always be there. Parents, just listen to them and you’ll see. It’s not always good to rush into things. Now, that’s a guarantee.
