frienship with thee

It began in an ad for friendship

Each of us torn for kinship

Out of the blue you text me why, so I say hi

We talk a bit and you seem new so I decide to go for a drive

My intentions were just that to talk and drive while you learned my home

It's not like me to go meet strangers, but I knew you needed me

A friend perhaps in this foreign state, to cheer you up and give you hope

So I lend you my hand indifferently only I'm shocked at what you give me

It's not what I wanted and wow it gives me A start

When things fell apart you arrived just like me

A broken package that needed a new beginning

I'm stuck where I'm at unable to leave I've nowhere to go cause I gave it to you

I bring you your place of solace and leave you be

I've grown overly fond of something that cannot be

I've had you I want you but know it's never going to be

So I drift at peace knowing I've had this at least

A moment of love that was never for me, but always inside of me..

I will not fight it I won't ask to change it cause things always happen for a reason I'm not always given....
