FROM MY HEART

Stroke me gently with your words that I may truly feel

The fire in your soul oh so very real

Whisper softly in my ear that I may truly  hear

The love in your heart so very true and sincere

Tell me not what I want to hear, but what I need to know

Water me with your loving tears that I may continue to grow

Plant me deep in your mind,and always give to me

That conscious state of mind in which I should always be

Strong and and all knowing, as the wise own in the tree

So one or nothing will be able to uproot me

Nuture me that only a few leaves will fall

Support me in my early stage, so I may continue to grow tall

The sunshine in your eyes, let it always shine on me

To show off my radiance for one and all to see

In the rays of your sunshine always let me stand

Proud of what I once was, but prouder of what I am.
