From rags to riches ?

She was in for a shock, certainly a surpise as she opened her morning mail wiping her weary eyes..over & over & yet over in dismay she couldn’t comprehend what this letter did say

“Surely this is a mistake it cannot be for me tho I have a standing order on the Euro millions lottery...yet I rarely check my numbers, I tend to forget” as she speaks to herself lighting up a cigarette

Why was she smoking, she had given up years ago replacing her daughter’s ‘Marlboro’ on the dresser shelf below,..but today was an exception coz what she had read in this letter was going to change their lives dramatically for the better

She sat down in her kitchen wondering what an earth to do next as she fiddled with her phone writing out a text...”Hi luv it’s Mam can you ring me honey?
I’ve had a letter this morning & we’ve won alot of money”

No more would they struggle trying to make ends meet finding it hard to pay the rent for this bedsit in the street..her brain was doing overtime & her head was getting sore as her Molly shouted “It’s only me Ma” & walked thru the door
