Frozen Wheel

Frozen Wheel

Sunrise over the frozen tundra

Stray solar rays
struggle to penetrate
our frigid existence

In defiance of our desires
a mercury boost
just ain't happening today

There's seems no way
Winter is loosening
it's icy grip
any time soon
but we take comfort
from cyclical history
that Spring lies dormant
just beneath the ice
waiting patiently
for it's melt down liberation
from the forces
of natural suppression
