Poem -

The Fruition of Winter

A dark cloud loomed in the sky
we all stared and wondered why
the mountains shattered to the ground
we all continued unbound
oceans dried, the earth was bare
we wept and woe filled the air

the world did not make any sense
we all felt indifference
all we needed was a dream
all we needed was a dream

when all the beauty had died
the world just cried and cried
a hopeful notion appeared
and dissipated all fear
with smiles and hands in air
their scarred hearts needing repair

the world did not make any sense
we all felt indifference
all we needed was a dream
all we needed was a dream

one day my heart was relieved
from this gift that I received
in the sway of winter air
her eyes behind golden hair
fear and regret in life
one kiss will dispel the strife
