FRUITS TO REMEMBER

That first apple really has a lot to answer for,
perhaps it turned out to be rotten to the core;
the fruits in my garden were a wonder to behold,
all to improve your digestion so we've been told.

The veg said: 'You're one of us,' not all agreed,
avocado begged to differ, but tomato had a seed;
so many mangoes just left rotting on the ground,
now they're used in fish curry so it's been found.

Sometimes we equate lemons with poor performance,
without them in your drink, cocktails wouldn't dance;
even bananas have 'woke' connotations like Obamas
healthcare plan, forcing people to have sickly dramas.

At the end of the day, they should all be given care,
the taste will reward you - I've always liked a nice pear.
