Poem -

Further mile.

I saw her smile not long ago, and wondered what the cause

she seemed delighted
With lips of cheer
Silent I stood in pause

I hadn't seen that light
Her eyes they shine
Finesse

Like a lady dancing, wild
and strong within a
fancy dress

Her cheeks were flushed with hints of pink
a rose of red would shame

And still I wondered what the cause, if love
Was there to blame

I wonder if at all a word
Or action made her smile

I wondered if at all
A kiss, had made it all the while

And if I could borrow
A touch of joy, to walk the further mile

Would I then too be happier within her pretty smile.
