Fury

Fury

Life is made of parts

Parts we cherish

Parts we smash to bits and pieces

Throw them away

Lock them in closets to battle the skeletons born in there.

We set these parts on fire

Coated in lighter fuel

Put the fire extinguishers in glass cases

Lock them

Put the keys in the fire and watch it burn.

In a frenzy

We punch the glass boxes

Not to put out the fire

But to bleed in fury

Anger rising

Hope long dead

Spelling out the words

With shards of glass

"I don't care"

Though we do

And always will.
