The Gates of Hell

Who dares to visit the gates of hell?
I do often, I know it well
Why I go there I do not know
I hate it with passion
But still I go
The space there is not as portrayed
No flames, no heat, no devils
Just gray
The demon erupts, I hate her so
The anger, the evil
It just flows
I never get beyond the gates
They won't let me in
I just sit and wait
Life has a habit of taking me there
The journey so horrid along the way
One day I'll return
And they will let me in
It will finally be over
No more battles to win
