Such enigma perplexes, attunes my thought,
No words per Vox, ignite in wrought.
Such wondrous diverse incessant in flow?
3 wishes mine, which way do I go?
An end to famine, maybe all wars?
Eradicate decay in my soul full of scars?
3 wishes gone as easily as death,
I long to have more as long as there’s breath.
Not one to wish, I delve deeper to,
Before each wish I ponder it through.
An end to our suffering, will we live, or will we die?
An end to our grief, no more empathy in our cry.
More money for freedom, our greed will succumb,
More power to control, our demise will become.
More love in our hearts, blindness ensues,
More friendships abundant make it harder to choose.
3 wishes I have such a gift bestowed,
Each wish that’s granted, a favour is owed.
Each splendid idea is somewhat reversed,
To have all I could ever dream of is punishable by curse.

Wow brilliantly written!
Although there are some parts I cannot comprehend, the mixture of curses wishes and dreams seem to be woven together to create a strong and poignant braid of a poem  :)
Superbly done, Simon!
