Get Outside

Cooking beneath a sky filled with stars,
screen time outside is more acceptable.

Sitting fireside and watching the cars go by,
a freezer filled with ice and fridge with food and drinks.

Our neighborhood at first thought I was crazy,
until they realized they have a free outdoor babysitter.

Neighborhood watch has never been so much fun,
nothing like chilling in  public with Netflix, humor intended.

The reality is Mother Nature combats past threats,
the reality is I rather be outside then in.

Did I mention two bathrooms in the backyard,
our son will never have to run in and out of the house.

You don’t need money to make your own safe space,
you just need creativity and time.
