Getting Into The Spirited Character
There's flurries in my snow globe mind
Jingle bells in my ears keep ringing all the time.
The masses crazily running around make me tire
Just thinking of the cold ive added another log to increase the fire.
Don't want fool anyone in to thinking im a grinch
For some reason it takes me a little longer to get that Christmas pinch.
Surely a most wonderous holiday of cheer
There's no better one to celebrate as we end the year.
One of my favorite things is December nights,
When the family loads into the car and we drive around viewing decorative lights.
Trips to the city to see the Christmas shows
As I speak now of past and future the spirit grows.
With my holly hat of cheer I feel bad for that scroogy villian,
I take in so much happiness from the joy on the faces of my children.
The best part of this season for me
Is being able to celebrate it with my family.
Oh, and to mention Christmas is really about the birth of Christ so don't forget it.
