Ghost in grey

Ghost in grey

It could be a he or then again it may well be a she but it is staring from the stairway looking at me . I am standing on my lonesome in this derelict castle coz I got locked in the toilets giving me a lot of hassle . but that was over an hour ago and now everyone’s vacated, it’s locked up you know . “Oh my God” as I begin to scream, please tell me this isn’t real, I am in a dream

I blink my eyes but that ghostly vision is there, looking right through me with it’s ghoulish glare . If I stand perfectly still perhaps it will go away, to pick on another customer on a different day? “Please g g go away” I gingerly mutter, I am scared as stiff with a definite stutter . Well would you ‘Adam and Eve it’ as this apparition puts it’s arms out to me from by it’s side position . I am shaking like a wobbly jelly, feeling as sick as a dog with butterflies in my belly . Yet apart from being a spirit this thing isn’t a threat tho my nerves are shattered making me soak with sweat

So here I am dumbstruck and petrified when all of a sudden well I almost died!! “ Follow me” yikes did ‘IT’ just speak? As I get a fright and let out a squawking “SHRIEK!!” I guess I haven’t really got a choice but to follow this thing with the humdrum voice . It turned around and I followed like it’s shadow yet it moved in a motion like a floating flow . We went along a passageway and up some stone stairs where I saw more ghostly figures kneeling in prayers. Then to my utter relief!! there was a huge iron gate as I watched this ghost in utter disbelief !!

It held out an arm which was covered in a white gown and I swear I saw an expression on it’s face of a frown . long boney fingers turned a big brass key and it opened this doorway just for me . I stood routed to the spot was this really true? Yes I am telling you the truth, would I lie to  you? Well without further ado I nodded my head then I ran out of the exit and away I sped . Like a bat out of hell I ran and I ran, just like a man on a mission on a positive plan . I shall never forget that til my dying day, getting locked in a castle and that ghost in grey
