Ghost in the Labyrinth

Ghost in the Labyrinth

I met her in a burning city
Set upon a mournful sky
Flames danced around her crown
And stone was the colour of her eyes

I went back to the city
Looking for her ghost
Hiding in the misty labyrinth
Her soul lost
With no home

I whisper her name
In the evening
And imagine her voice
The sound of her cry
Her lips and hair
And the final
Goodbye

This is profoundly poetic...... and screams to break the chains of its own succinctness.......so much is delivered in these truly compelling lines and phrases of poetic prose....... that the reader has to read into it more than what is there to satisfy their curiosity......... nothing wrong with that of course...... that's what good writers do.......Ā personally, I thought it could be longer and have an unshakeable foundation for 'suspension of disbelief'Ā  but that's just me.... and in having said that.....I think it's one 'Kick Ass' write dear poet brother!!......ALL STARS!!.... well done...... and..... WELCOME to COSMO Grant Jolly!!...... LOVE & ROCKETS!!........T xo ??✓?ā¤ā¤āœ“?
