Girly

Girly

women

we win

our courage bleeds through our bones,

our strength stored within the bruises on our toes

from running, escaping the tyranny of those who thrive

we've been accused for our gift of life

tormented and abused for our willingness to oppose

we're the property they wish to buy

with the currency their financial stability depletes

love is nonexistent, when their desire is targeted towards lust

dust, compared to ashes on the concrete we are

miniscule pieces to the remedy of life

it's us

view us as the solution

let me ease your misconception

the woman is not the pollution

we've been distressed, disrespected because we've been birthed with the flower

power we ought to contain

they assume we're timid and afraid

although we have suffered, the woman is okay

because she has been recognized

apologized

to, she expects the equality once told of

she expects the truth
