GIVE OUR EARTH ITS DIGNITY

GIVE OUR EARTH ITS DIGNITY

It does matter! that we destroy andĀ ravage thisĀ earth
may children be taught to care for it from birth
To cherish mother nature in all her infiniteĀ glory
so we can hand down to generations to come, its story
We were given something so precious to behold
why is it abused and battered, treated so cold
Why are we notĀ preservingĀ ourĀ earths beauty
itsĀ reverence must beĀ up held it is, our duty
No more pollution no more rain forest slaughter
change peoples attitudes, through hell or high water
For we are our ownĀ worseĀ enemyĀ taking itĀ for granted
we are all accountable for this earth, being recanted
So please people of this worldĀ possess some humilityĀ
we can all help, we can change,Ā giveĀ earth back itsĀ dignityĀ

So many people don't realise we'd be accountable to how we use what Mother Nature has blessed us with....I love nature...I hate it when I see people destroying nature...This is a wake up call...Thanks for sharing

Lots of love

beautifully said, Deborah...so I was born in the tropics and every time I go back to Trinidad or some other tropical island, as the plane approaches for landing and I see the blue Sargasso sea I always notice how much more blue and pristine Ā the water appears the be and brighter the greens, much more so than the industrial colors of Toronto and the other big cities of this world....Ā I agree with you that we should preserve the earth from further destruction, but a lil bird in my head always seems to say that the earth got a severe wound to the heart with the coming of the industrial revolution and big time greed that continues raping and pillaging natural resources...Ā this spirit of preservation may be about two hundred years too late, just saying, but in saying that, I am diligent to separate my trash and not flush paint down the toilet...Ā love the write Deborah, we must start this reclamation projectĀ somewhere, I suppose, tributeĀ my friend, good subject Ā Ā

Hi Ā Christopher Ā Your thoughts on your country of birth soundĀ
beautiful Have you written about Trinidad the Sargasso sea?
the picture you create in the few words you describe at the beginning of yourĀ
comments sound heavenly, i would love to read them if you have.
I Ā understand where you come from saying about the industrial revolution,Ā
that has happened and sadly no turning back, but i just think preservation
of what we have left now is key to save more damage happening,
there are so many thingsĀ that we can all do to help
Thank you for your positive and understanding comments
always a pleasure to read
Thank you my friend
Best wishes DebsĀ Ā

Hi Dear Debs,

I can't believe that every Friday early morning, as Linda and I take a two mile walk, it is recyclable pick-up day and there are still people who refuse to do it. Ā it amazes me that they have such little love for our Mother Earth. Ā Your beautiful words tell it like it is. Ā Wake up world, and smell the roses, before it's too late.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

xox Larry

Hi Ā Larry IĀ really cant understand it eitherĀ
We are provided with recycle bags Ā freeĀ
I have always recycled its no hardship really irritates meĀ
that people don`t do it They just think put it in the bin
off to the tip gone, but its not so many things take yearsĀ
to disintegrate some poisoning the earth Grr.Ā ProbablyĀ
people don`t even know this or even care, it is so sadĀ
Thank you for your comments my friend always a pleasure
Love n hugs Debs xox
