Giving Up

Giving Up

No good would come from giving up
For still half full is life's great cup
Seek out success and what may be
Fine things will come but not for free

Don't dwell on past mistakes or loss
A rolling stone rejects the moss
And finds its way to pastures new
A cleansing river, crystal blue

Look up and see the circling birds
Then far beyond these meager words
Are worlds of light and minds of power
Which work to find you every hour

Amidst the humdrum thoughts which press
A ray of hope will come to bless
Reminding all that life moves on
And thoughts of giving up - all gone

In a word, I find this to be inspirational. I like your style, and the metaphor of the rolling stone. :)
