Poem -

Glass Heart

You cut me open and threw me away
But what does it matter I was already broken
Before you knew me the scares on my heart
Were proof enough

But I gave you my all and loved you
Desperately I told you my secrets and kept
Yours faithfully I gave you my soul to look
After and strengthen me

You knew I was broken the day we wed
You promised to love me till the end in sickness
And health is what we both said but you
Broke that promise and left me for dead

I was damaged goods before we me but
Somewhat whole and on the mend you knew
My heart was delicate yet you still left, you
Took that crake and completely shattered it.
