GOD AND I FISHED

GOD AND I FISHED

Angelic body of Souls

walk foreword towards me … and God …

I am slightly hidden behind the tree roots

and the year’s autumn leaves

bundle me in like a nest.

No birds and no eggs to find

but a castaway from the material World

who was unwilling

to conform to societies way.

Now standing over me

they asked

why my trolling never caught fish.

They also asked

how I caught God in a Gillnet

that was so worn and haggard.

I replied that

my Faith in Him was complete

and that he came to me.

He had seen my failures and tribulations

and my heart devastated

and my stomach hungry for love.

I cried on so many Sundown’s

heaving the net for a sign of fruition

but it was never to come.

I never gave up

when lesser men would have done so

but I had Faith that God

would lift me in my moment of disparity.

When I casted out

the sky was clear and the day quiet

I could almost feel God

when the net started to rattle

and I knew

that this was my moment with God.

Him by my side

pulling on the net together

for my Son and for my Wife

Holy Jesus was in my heart

and now so very much alive.

It might had been the whole ocean of fish

sparkling like diamonds

all in my net where God and I fished.

Angelic body of Souls

walk foreword towards me. … and God. …
